Sweet Serendipity
Sweet Serendipity
Sweet serendipity, show me the way,
It’s simply your will at the end of the day.
Curating pages, one at a time,
An author of prudence, simply sublime.
Our fates and our failures will soon come to light,
So, while you wait, stay away from the night.
Sweet serendipity, all I can do
Is hide from the moon ‘til the darkness is through.
Don’t pull me in, serendipity, please,
I promise I won’t be too hard to appease.
If temptation calls, will you keep me away?
Protect me from things that may lead me astray?
Sweet serendipity, give me a sign,
I fear that my life might not ever be mine.
You bore and you raised me under the sun,
Please see that I’m safe when the night is all done.
Born to be early, raised to be late,
At the end of the day, we’re all slaves to our fate.
